The recent election has highlighted that many politicians are trying to eradicate the legitimacy of trans people everywhere, and deny us access to basic human services and dignity. The threats to our existence are growing daily.

You can help by donating. Trans Maryland’s Name Change Program has already helped over 1400 trans Marylanders to legally change our identity information, including name and gender designations. This can be critical in obtaining vital services for healthcare, housing, finances and more. 

The need is urgent. The cost to change identity documents often runs to many hundreds of dollars. Trans Maryland underwrites the costs for trans people in need, helps fill out the paperwork, and more.
